Advanced Binder Technician Course
A review course for the NBTC Program (without certification) (14 PDH Credits)

| The Advanced Binder Technician Course reviews in detail all of the standard AASHTO M320 tests and laboratory procedures in a 2-day instructional period and promotes a consistent laboratory best-practice. This course prepares candidates seeking certification in the NBTC program and is a prerequisite to taking the exams. It also provides an excellent overview of the M320 specification for those not seeking certification. Who Should Attend All candidates seeking certification in the NBTC Program, senior or lead technicians that perform testing for the development, production, and acceptance of asphalt binders, senior technicians involved in training junior technicians, those involved in research, whether at the faculty or graduate level. Certification Students desiring certification through this course for the NBTC Program must be pre-qualified. To learn more about the NBTC Program and associated cost, click here. Location The training is conducted at the Asphalt Institute Headquarters and Research Center, 2696 Research Park Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40511. Class Schedule Tuesday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (lunch provided) Fees & Registration The registration fee is $975 for the Advanced Binder Technology Course. Registration fees must be received prior to the course date. The registration fees cover all seminar materials, refreshments, and lunches. Early registration is recommended as the class is limited to 4-10 students. Cancellations are subject to a 20% surcharge of total course fees and require three weeks notice to avoid forfeiture of the balance paid. Substitutions are permitted. Hotel Information The Asphalt Institute has a room block at the Marriott Griffin Gate in Lexington. If you wish to make hotel reservations, please call the hotel directly at (859) 231-5100. Rates are $92 for single and $102 for double occupancy and include a continental breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Transportation Shuttle service between the airport, hotel and AI is no longer available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
